This is a LONG ride and has two options for riding length. The long ride is 42 miles RT from Wayzata to Maher and back. The shorter ride is 24 miles RT from Mound to Maher and back.
The two groups will meet up in Mound and continue to Maher and back to Mound as one group.
Please indicate if you are taking the long ride or the short ride when you sign up.
NOTE: Each rider please register individually.
Pedego Owners Group (POG) tours are geared for Pedego owners, guests of Pedego owners and renters.

OWNERS: This ride is $10 for Pedego owners.

POG GUEST/RENTERS: Must rent a Pedego bike. This ride is exclusive to Pedego bikes.
- Bike Rental $30 - rented Pedego will be brought to Mound by Pedego Twin Cities.
- POG Guests and renters MUST provide their height as requested.

Helmets will be provided to Pedego renters.

THE TOUR
42 miles RT (note that you may need a fast charger or extra battery to complete this): long ride, Wayzata to Maher and back, NOON departure. NOTE: Part of our group will be waiting in Mound so departure needs to be timely! For those doing the long ride, the tour will start and end at designated trail parking in Wayzata at Shaver Park (175 Grove Lane).
Wayzata riders will enjoy a 9 mile ride along Lake Minnetonka. We will encounter traffic so be prepared.
The long ride group will meet up with the short ride group in Mound. Estimated arrival in Mound is 12:30 but this is dependent on traffic during this busy week. We will have communication between the groups so Mound riders will be updated on our progress.
24 miles RT: short ride, Mound to Maher and back, estimated departure 12:30. Tour will start and end at the Mound Parking Ramp/Lot 5515 Shoreline Dr, Mound, MN 55364. There is also parking on the park lots just to the west.
After we merge in Mound, we will follow this easy and beautiful ride along the newly resurfaced Dakota State Trail. This 12 mile part of the tour takes us through beautiful countryside filled with farm animals, fertile fields, forestry land and wonderfully landscaped homes. There's always something to see!
The path is a gentle and completely paved trail with occasional traffic crossings. There are pile post barriers at either side of some of the roads we cross (to stop ATV traffice). While narrow, they are easily passable by our Pedegos.
Before turning around at Maher, we will visit the Carver County Veteran's Memorial, a unique and special tribute to all branches of service through the ages.
Those who wish may stop at Mackenthun's in St. Boni for coffee and a snack (they close at 6 pm) or Grumpys for burgers, pizza and fries. There is also wine tasting at the Winery at Sovereign Estate.
Mound has the BEST ice cream shop just steps off the trail.
And Wayzata has a wealth of places to eat.
