POG GUEST/RENTERS: Must rent a Pedego bike. This ride is exclusive to Pedego bikes.
- Bike Rental $30 - rented Pedego will be brought to Cedar Lake by Pedego Twin Cities.
- POG Guests and renters MUST provide their height as requested.

THE TOUR
A variety of information and links about the Mississippi River Trail (MRT) and about the airport and Holman's Table restaurant are at the end of this detail.
This route will begin and end at Pedego Twin Cities Mendota Heights. We will follow the Big Rivers Regional Trail past Mendota, through the park and woodlands along the river, past the the St. Paul Yacht Club and turn on Plato Boulevard just before entering Harriet Island.
We will be on a marked but shared bike trail along Plato Boulevard to the downtown airport Holman Field. Holman's Table has seating and direct tarmac views of the private plane part of the airport. Enjoy lunch, sweets or a drink while watching the activity up close and personal! Check menus at holmanstable.com.
Our return trip will reverse this route and end at Pedego TC MH.
Note for anyone who wants to stop for refreshments or a snack, Lucky's 13 (free popcorn!) and Axel's in Mendota have great outdoor spaces and the VFW across the street has a good vibe.

Mississippi River Trail (MRT)
Throughout the 72-mile long Twin Cities Metro Area, the MRT is routed on both sides of the river - you can pick a side or ride both. The bikeway is located within the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area (MNRRA), an urban national park. Although much of the route is presently on-road, several off-road regional trails suitable for a wide variety of bicyclists are featured within this segment (local and regional planning is presently underway for several new off-road river-oriented trails with the eventual outcome being a continuous 144-mile off-road Metropolitan river loop).
Finally to the south, bicyclists can remain on roads below the Mississippi River Bluffs or ride the Apple Blossom Scenic Byway. The byway allows bicyclists a view of the Mississippi uplands, spectacular views of the river and adjoining bottom lands. It also offers access to Great River Bluffs State Park.
St Paul downtown Airport
Just across the Mississippi River from downtown St. Paul, St. Paul Downtown Airport (STP) is a popular home base for corporate aircraft due to its location and for having the longest runway – 6,941 feet – in the MAC reliever airport system. Two fixed-base operators provide services such as fueling, maintenance, aircraft storage and line services. Aircraft charter services are also available on the field.
St. Paul Downtown Airport has an FAA tower that is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday & Sunday. STP first opened in 1926 and is the only MAC reliever airport with a restaurant, Holmans Table.
